This is how it all started…
Hi, I’m Meryem, and welcome to “ MERYTELLS”, a blog where I share with you my perspective on life, particularly “My life.” An intricate odyssey where emotions have found solace in music, writing, and faith.
The genesis of this project erupted when I was facing a difficult time in my life. Periods filled with anxiety, depression, frustration, anger, and the list goes on. Strong, self-destructing, and rebellious emotions cast shadows over my life for so long that death seemed like the sweetest remedy at the time. Until the arrival of my child, with whom life took on another meaning, a glimmer of hope and for whom I had to survive.
Through my healing journey, I realized that to be reborn, I needed to reconcile with an old friend of mine. The one who stood by my side, whenever needed, held my hand, listened patiently, and never judged. My dear savior “Writing”.
While slowly catching up, my pen and I found refuge in the arms of classical music, a warm lover that paved my shoulders, calmed my storms, and softened my thunders. A gift of time that filled my heart with joy, compassion, peace, and love.
In this little journey that I openly share with you, I can’t deny that faith was always along the way, a flicker of light that enlightened my route when going through murky paths. The strong belief that I am destined to be here alive, that my story has a meaning, that I will outbest this darkness and never let it turn me into a monster, and above all, that I am a wonderful creation that will never be abandoned, as we humans never were and will never be.
To all the lost souls, I invite you to share your story and mine. I offer you this blog and my unwrapped heart to tell you that you are not alone. Every article shared on this platform is a personal experience that I’ll link to a classical aria or a piece of music dear to my heart. And for “la pièce de résistance” how about Mythology? Tales and stories passed over ages, fascinating yet terrifying, hard to believe but convincing and rooted in our minds. Myths where Gods became humans and the humans believed to be their own God.
